![]() Secondly, a way would have to be found to investigate demand and to market the stuff. That's all controlled by the client, so out of our hands. But we're still, in some cases, dealing with, erm, inappropriate uses or underutilization of technology. If everyone was digital, we wouldn't be having this conversation. (This raises confidentiality issues, unless you could use reports expunged of identifying information such as those used by my transcription school.) The range of distortions and interference is pretty broad. The developer would have to be exposed to a good sampling of the kind of problematic reports we're talking about. ![]() I think a couple of things would have to happen before proceeding. MTs are by the nature of their work an intelligent lot, but some are more technically savvy than others. (Also, many MTSOs won't allow non-company software to be installed on company-supplied PCs, which puts employees (as opposed to ICs) at a disadvantage.) Or maybe both: a basic hardware device and/or a software suite for advanced users. Keeping the load off their system would be good, even though a software solution could be infinitely more versatile. One is that MANY MTs are still using older computers running XP (per client specs) and minimal RAM, in keeping with a system that is essentially used for word processing. In my uninformed opinion, I think a hardware solution would be better, though I couldn't give you specific reasons.
